Giorgos Georgiades

Giorgos Georgiades was born in 1983. Giorgos is an artist born and based in Larnaca of Cyprus and he maintains an art workshop. Georgiades has studied at Academy of Fine Arts in Athens. He had several Solo exhibitions and took part in group exhibitions both in Cyprus and abroad. In 2007, he started working on set design. The artist has created sets for various plays, children’s plays, as well as short films. He also undertook the decoration of the Municipal Swimming Pool of Pefki and various cafes and bars in Larnaca.

Georgiades’s art pieces are characterised by extraordinary figures immersed in their own world. Sometimes, the background of the artworks are messy brushstrokes, whereas often we see his artworks having a clear, bright pop colors for background.

The artist’s artworks have both the form of paintings which are created on pieces of wood and canvases, as well as 3-dimensional forms of art. In addition, his artworks stand out by the bright colours’ palette the artist uses, as well as the enlarged and altered beyond normal features.
